The Police Benevolent Foundation establishes fund

for fallen Trippah County Sheriff’s Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw

(December 3, 2010) -- The Police Benevolent Foundation (PBF) and the Mississippi Police Benevolent Association would like to express its deepest sympathy and compassion to the family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers of Trippah County Sheriff’s Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw who was fatally shot while responding to a call just before dawn on Friday, December 3, 2010.  Deputy Crenshaw paid the ultimate sacrifice, and it is with a heavy heart that the PBF asks for the help of the community, both locally and nationally, to aid in their efforts to provide much needed support for this deputy’s beneficiaries in their time of need.

An account has been established under the Police Benevolent Foundation entitled the “Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw Memorial Fund” at Regions Bank.  Donations can be made at any Regions Bank so that the public can assist in the efforts to provide financial support to Deputy Crenshaw’s beneficiaries.  Donations can also be made through the Police Benevolent Foundation by clicking here.  All donations made to this memorial fund are tax-deductible, and 100% of the money will go to Deputy Crenshaw’s beneficiaries.

The Police Benevolent Foundation is also taking donations via text for the “Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw Memorial Fund.” You can help by texting the phrase COPS CRENSHAW to 85944.  A $10 donation will be made through your cell phone bill.  The PBF is asking everyone to please pass this information along to friends and family. Deputy Taylor’s family will need all of us to rally behind them in these hard times.
