The Police Benevolent Foundation (PBF) and the Mississippi Police Benevolent Association would like to express its deepest sympathy and compassion to the family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers of Grenada Police Officer Captain John Wayne Haddock who was killed while assisting in a high-speed pursuit in Grenada County, Mississippi on Friday, October 7, 2011.  Captain Haddock paid the ultimate sacrifice, and it is with a heavy heart that the PBF asks for the help of the community, both locally and nationally, to aid in their efforts to provide much needed support for this officer’s family in their time of need.

An account has been established under the Police Benevolent Foundation entitled the “Officer John Haddock Memorial Fund” at Regions Bank.  Donations can be made at any Regions Bank so that the public can assist in the efforts to provide financial support to Captain Haddock’s family.  Donations can also be made through the Police Benevolent Foundation's website at here.  All donations made to this memorial fund are tax-deductible, and 100% of the money will go to Captain Haddock’s family.

The Police Benevolent Foundation is also taking donations via text for the “Captain John Haddock Memorial Fund.” You can help by texting the phrase COPS HADDOCK to 85944.  A $10 donation will be made through your cell phone bill.  The PBF is asking everyone to please pass this information along to friends and family. Captain Haddock’s family will need all of us to rally behind them in these hard times.
